Instructions for use
WELCOME TO THE CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS SERVICE
Children’s Christmas service is a meeting place for all friends of Santa Claus online. Everyone are welcome, no matter what their age, as long as you are a friend of Santa. Behind Children’s Christmas service is Santa Claus Foundation in Finland, which has been founded to globally promote the image of Finland as the real Santa Claus land and that the real, genuine Santa is none other than a Finn.
By supporting the operation of the Foundation or its official partners, you help Santa in his task of lifting Christmas spirits and spreading joy as he works as a beneficiary for the children of the world.
Children’s Christmas service allowes you to do the following :
1. Create a page for yourself or together with your friends.
2. In your own page, you can upload videos and photos, as well as write a blog article.
3. You can visit other people's pages and watch their videos and look at their photos.
4. You can comment on other's videos, photos and blogs.
Hopefully you'll enjoy our service and make many new friends!
REGISTER
To use Children's Christmas service is easy but you must first register as a user by clicking on the ”Register” button on top of the page.
Your user account will be activated and you will receive a confirmation on your registration in your e-mailbox. Click on the confirmation link, after which you can log in to the system as a user.
LOG IN
You can log in to the service by entering the user name (User-ID) you registered and your password in the log in window on the front page of the service. Only users that have logged in can give rating points to others' most Christmassy videos and take part in Santa Claus' competition concerning the vote. After you have logged in, you can create or use your ”Own page”.
My page
After you have logged in, click on the ”My page” button on top of the page. After this, you can start building your very own page in theChildren's Christmas service and publish it to all of Santa's friends.
- By clicking ”My settings”, you can tell about yourself and your hobbies in short.
- By clicking ”My profile”, you can see the information you have provided.
- ”My blog” leads you to the blog you have been writing.
- ”Write a blog” allows you to write new blog article or change the old ones.
- By clicking ”Manage”, you can upload new photos on the server, and remove or edit old ones. You can also determine a default photo for your profile.
- ”Upload a photo” allows you to upload your own Christmas photos to be shared with other friends of Santa Claus, name the photos and give them other classifying information. Please remember that you can only upload photos that are yours or photos that you have permission to publish.
- In ”Gallery”, you can see how many and what kind of photos you have uploaded in the system.
- ”Upload a video” allows you to save your own videos in the system. It is easy to add videos! Just follow the instructions on the page.
Your blog articles, photos and videos will not published until Santa's elfs have approved them. Please be patient.
SANTA CLAUS' COMPETITION
By clicking on the ”Competition” button on top of the page, you can take part in the current fun competition organized by Santa and win a pleasant gift.
USERS
By clicking on the ”Users” button on top of the page, you can see who else have registered as a friend of Santa Claus. A versatile search engine is at your disposal. Try it!
FRONT PAGE
By clicking on the ”Front page” button on top of the page, you can always access the front page of the Children's Christmas service. On the left side of the main page you can see a small window with your user name in it; this window includes the most necessary shortcuts to your own sub pages.
LOG OUT
You can exit the system at any time by clicking the ”Log out” button on top of the page.
Your user name (User_ID) will remain in the system, as well as the photos, videos and blog articles you have saved.
In case you wish to delete all the aforementioned personal information, send an e-mail message with your user name (User-ID) in it to info@santaclausfoundation.fi.
In case you wish to give feedback to Santa Claus or make wishes on the development of this website, send an e-mail message with your user name (User-ID) in it to: info@santaclausfoundation.fi.
